The Chili Chase is held mostly on the Duck Creek Trail starting at the Duck Creek Golf Club House. This race, which is held in February, is one of the most scenic races around for those who like running on trails. The duck creek trail is paved and goes thorough wooded areas mixed with residential areas. After the race the Corn Belt Running Club serves up hot chili and sandwiches. The awards are unique being different every year. In past years they have given out soup bowls, coffee mugs, socks and gloves. This is one the races I hate to miss.
