I made this website because I love running and racing and to promote running, racing and especially for running clubs that don't have websites. If your club already has a website add a link to this site. For many years I have been web master for Galesburg Road Runners Club My wife Julie is club secretary a job she has had for many years. (picture on the right)
Please start your own blog or forum and join in. I would love to get a running forum started. Please leave comments after the races you have ran. Also please add the races that your club puts on. You are encouraged to add any club events. If you have any questions please leave a comment below. Thank You
Alphabetical List of US Running Clubs I am trying to make this list as complete as possible. I am adding all running, tri, bike, ultra and trail running clubs.

Lots of race directors have
Lots of race directors have come up to me at races and said how many more runners they have had at their race, and from all over the country, after listing their race on my calendar. Some even said twice as many! But this comment says it all. http://www.usracecalendar.com/shamokin-rotary-club-turkey-trot-5k-runwal...

There is a new book out. It can be found at Amazon, Borders, and Barnes and Noble web site. It is not a training book but, rather a motivational autobiography that deals with Cross country running. The ISBN is 1-60563-730-0 It is especially good for HS and College athletes.
Upcoming 5K race - Help!
I am on a committee that is planning a 5K run in Wyanet, IL during the Wyanet Summer Festival. The race is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 9:00am. Those of us on the committee are novices and we are aware that we have a great deal to accomplish in a short amount of time but we are determined to make this happen. The race is in memory of our friend Nancy Jo Olds-Bohm from Walnut, IL who passed away in May of 2007 from breast cancer.
My dilemma at the moment is organizing the race day logistics: equipment, starters, finish line materials and timing.... We are looking for information on where to rent/locate equipment or better yet, a runner's group that will come down and help us implement the race on that day.
Any direction or advice that you can give me in this area would be greatly appreciated. My email address is below.
Thank you

I wrote an article at http://www.usracecalendar.com/race-organization-how-put-race sometime ago that might help.
You may be able to get liability insurance for your event here:
http://www.usatf.org/events/sanctions/
Galesburg Road Runners Club www.grrc.net will rent equipment for a very small fee and I believe the Illinois Valley Striders www.ivs.org will also rent expert personnel.
Also please be sure to put your race information on our calendar here (free) and upload your entry form
