Use The Race Calendar

If you know the date try the race calendar in the blue menu bar in the top center of the page.

Using The Search Facility

Search (top right corner) is the best way to find anything, typing "st louis april" in the search box will list many races in St Louis during the month of April. To find races by city type it into the search area(top right). You can use the advanced search to search for multiple keywords and categories, such as 5ks in St Paul MN. The search looks for exact words found in the race calendar listing.
You may have better luck searching for the city the race is in because of variations in the race name such as St Patrick's instead of St Paddy's.

Try searching for Boston qualifier in the site search and you will get two pages, from here you can use the categories at the top of each event to refine your search. The categories make it easier to browse through the database of races by looking only marathons or races in a specific city. Because of the database structure you may get cities in different states if they have the same name.

If you know the name of the race, city or state the fastest way is to use the search, just type the race name into the search box on the top right. If you can't find your race try using a City, State or date search.The fewer search terms you use the more results you will get, but the more search terms you use the less likely you are to find the race you want.

Advanced Search

To find a race in multiple categories such as a 5 mile race in Davenport IA in November:

• first type November in the search box in the top upper right and click Search
• on the next screen click on "Advanced search", in the are labled "containing the words" type davenport ia and in the "from only category" choose 5 mile
• Then click "Advanced Search" about half way down the page

This should bring up the Davenport Iowa Turkey Trot held at the Davenport by the YMCA and put on by the Cornbelt Running Club.

Upcoming Races

To find upcoming races try using the "Search this page" or "Find on this page" in your browser for keywords such as race distances or city, state on the Upcoming races page. Upcoming races are the first 200 by date with nearest date first, they will probably be all for the first weekend. You may need to scroll up one line if it is under the blue bar at the bottom of the page. Each one of these keywords is linked to all the races in that category. You can also use the Race Calendar You can even use the index or races using the first letter of the race name.

Using Categories

You can find events using categories, these are at the top of the page. Start at Find Races By State (on the menu top center) and choose your state from this list, browse the races in this state and choose a city to see the races in that city.

In the illustration above you would see a list of races in Minneapolis starting with most recently added.

Using The Menu

The menu on the left and top center will allow you to see only 5K or marathon listings, or only certain states. These selections are the menu bar in the top center of the page. On each race calendar page if you click on one of the keywords next the submitted by and just below the title you can a list of all races in the category.
