This is a lovely run or walk along the Scenic Hennepin Canal Parkway(take IL Hwy 84 to the stoplight turn south on to 5th St) in Colona IL. This will be the 6th Annual Henneipin Hustle 5K Run/Fun Walk and is held each year in conjunction with the Rock River Rodders Car Show & the Colona Freedom Celebration that are held that same weekend. Shirts are guaranteed to anyone who has pre-registered at www.getmeregistered.com or www.runrace.net. Shirts on race day until supplies are depleted.We are members of the Rock River Striders(RRS)& Corn Belt Runners Club(CBRC)race circuits. Race 2010
I ran the race for the first time last year 2010, came in third for my age group, it was a fast trac easy run, and I am glad it was as it was the first time I ever participated.

we ran this race last year it is great off road away from traffic but on a paved surface along the canal great race

I am so glad you enjoyed the race last year and hope to see you there again this year. We are always trying to improve and are offering the Tech shirts this year. We are also to have packet pick up and registration at the same location as the race, as runners have told us they like that. thanks for the great race again! liked the tech shirts though I probably needed an XS... I kinda swim in it! I was worried about the packet pickup not being at the firestation with restroom access (-hate portapotties), but the restrooms on the canal by the car show were great!

I am glad you like it. We made some changes at the runners request from last year, so that is the reason we held registration at the park and had the better quality shirts. There was a bathroom a little bit closer then the car show so next year, if you come look me up, and I will show you. The ones at the car show are newer then the one I am talking about, but they keep them all pretty clean and it is not a port a potty (not my favorite either). Besides the restroom issue did you like the registration better at the park? We try to continue to improve, so that racer want to come back. Hope to see you next year. Thanks again.
