Wellness Place, Cancer Education and Support in Palatine, IL is planning their 2nd annual Wellness Place Community Cancer Walk/Run on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Harper College in Palatine. Event activities include a 3K Walk and 5K “Fun” Run followed by a celebration of survivors and those touched by cancer. Registration begins at 8am with the 5K Run starting at 9:30, followed by the 3K Walk at 10. “Last year this event drew over 700 cancer survivors and supporters who gathered to raise awareness, celebrate life and remember loved ones. It was beautiful day for so many and we are looking forward to another memorable event for 2011,” said Pam Reiss, Executive Director for Wellness Place.
