UCS is dedicated to the growth of the whole child. For the past several years, UCS has placed significant emphasis on improving the health of its students and families by guiding them to make positive personal health decisions through active participation in their diets, fitness programs, medical care and emotional well-being. This event is designed to further those goals, as well as serve as a demonstration to the community of our dedication to this cause, and involve others who want to help our families live healthier lifestyles.

This 5K is a great event to engage everyone from the UCS family in one activity that promotes health awareness. Additionally, it serves as a way to raise funds for scholarship support and healthy lifestyles programming.

After the 5K, UCS will host a health fair in the gymnasium, where representatives from fitness, nutrition and health care service providers will distribute information, answer questions and offer demonstrations.
