First of all I want to thank
First of all I want to thank you for putting on such an organized race! I was able to run with my 8yr old son Carson in his first race. I haven't seriously run for competition since high school which is over 20 years. I have always been a weight lifter. Carson and I ran the 2 mile race today. For an 8 year old I was very happy for him. He was so excited how he did we had to go right away and tell his grandpa and grandma how he finished! Not thinking that he may have done well or even finished in the top 3 we left to my parents house.

Carl Sandburg race 2012
Carl Sandburg race 2012 looked it was going to be bad, in the spring each year sometimes it can be cold and rainy. Just before the race started the rain stopped. While slightly foggy it was perfect weather for running.
