I am planning to host my own 5k walk in New York. I would like to know if you can please help me to direct me or give me some suggestions. This is the first time I will be creating and hosting a walk. The walk will be for Dandy-Walker. Thank you.
I think running shirtless in the winter would improve your stamina and you wouldn't mind the cold. However, it can be risky for others - I tried it once and I almost faint :(

I loved the course this year at the middle school. I have run the race at least ten out of the 14 years it has been held and this was my favorite year. Loved the new course hope it will be there next year also!

CARA is once again hosting it's Ready to Run 20 Miler. This year it will be on Sunday, September 18. It will again feature a unique point-to-point course on the lakefront, a wave start, aid stations featuring the same products as the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, a great post-race party, complete medical support (including SAG), and transportation back to the start and downtown.

Just wondered what the revised race course might look like for the half marathon now that there is road construction on Cleveland Road through the town of Huron of for the next two months.
Guess I had better start training now! I'm used to running 5k's.

When and where will you be posting the results for the strong kids race (10K) in Roscoe on Sat. June 26th?
I am glad you like it. We made some changes at the runners request from last year, so that is the reason we held registration at the park and had the better quality shirts. There was a bathroom a little bit closer then the car show so next year, if you come look me up, and I will show you. The ones at the car show are newer then the one I am talking about, but they keep them all pretty clean and it is not a port a potty (not my favorite either). Besides the restroom issue did you like the registration better at the park? We try to continue to improve, so that racer want to come back. Hope to see you next year. Thanks again.
thanks for the great race again! liked the tech shirts though I probably needed an XS... I kinda swim in it! I was worried about the packet pickup not being at the firestation with restroom access (-hate portapotties), but the restrooms on the canal by the car show were great!
